Self catering Kilmore Quay visitors love this small and tranquil fishing village which is well known for its thatched cottages and the excellent seafood of its restaurants. The best time of year to visit is during the Seafood Festival in early July. The Saltee Islands Bird Sanctuary can be reached from the harbor. There are a number of fishing boat charters for deep sea anglers.
