Scar Bridge Cottage is a beautiful luxury holiday home in a peaceful rural location, 5 minutes from Bridgetown in Wexford.

This stylish country residence sits on a 3 acre garden on a quiet country lane next to a brown trout fishing river. The river is fenced off has private gated access, its own fishing platform and wooden riverside house. The gardens have been beautifully landscaped and we have our own orchard planted with apple, pear and plum trees. The south facing terrace is planted with lavender, snowball trees and buddleia.

The 3 bedroomed house sleeps 6 people comfortably and is beautifully furnished throughout. The Master Bedroom has a romantic 4 Poster Bed. The bedrooms are very pretty each with their own character, decorated in muted calm shades reflecting classical country style and with feather down quilts and egyptian cotton linens There is a cosy snug with a feature stone fireplace where you can relax by the romantic fireside. There is a Games Room in the Stable Yard with a pool table and games and the garden has a swing, play frame and sandbox for children.

There are many sandy Blue Flag Beaches within 10 minutes drive and there are wonderful locations to explore such as the stunning Hook Penninsula. Wexford town with its cosmopolitan cobbled streets , designer boutiques is only 15 minutes away and you can take a boat trip to the Saltee Islands from Kilmore Quay village. There is a strong local tradition of story telling which you can enjoy over the summer months in local fireside venues. Visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship at New Ross and the Johnstown Castle and Gardens.

Scar Bridge Cottage is a truly idyllic countryside location with wonderful meadows and rivers to explore or simply relax to the sensuous sounds of nature.
