The provincial centre of Wexford town has a wealth of Viking and Norman history  and a number of good museums . The walking tour of the town is a helpful way for visitors to enjoy the meandering streets and historic buildings . There is an excellent theatre and a world class Opera Festival in October. Wexford has great pubs, good restaurants and a thriving night club and live music scene.
