Glendalough is known as the Glen of the Two Lakes. Many visitors to this wonderful area regard it as their most memorable part of Ireland. The visitors centre here has excellent  information on the rock climbing, hill walking and local history of the area. The 6^th century monastery here is one of Ireland’s most atmospheric sites. The Glendalough Valley has nine marked walking trails.
